Easy Vegan Apple Cider Donuts

Perfectly spiced vegan apple cider donuts that are baked, not fried, and dipped in cinnamon sugar. This recipe can be made just vegan or vegan AND gluten-free, it’s up to you!

Gather the Ingredients

ground flax seeds – water – gluten free flour OR all-purpose flour – baking powder – baking soda – salt –  sugar

cinnamon – nutmeg – unsweetened apple cider – coconut oil – vanilla extract

For the topping: cinnamon – sugar – coconut oil

– Prepare flax egg, set aside. – Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. – Mix apple cider, oil, vanilla extract, and flax mixture.

– Pour wet ingredients into dry and mix well. – Using a piping bag or a large Ziploc bag, pipe the mixture into each cavity of your donut pan. – Bake for 10 minutes.

– Remove from oven and let the pan sit for a few minutes before removing the donuts. – Remove the donuts from the pan and place on a cooling rack.

– Add the sugar and cinnamon to a small bowl and mix together. – Brush the tops of each donut with a little of the melted coconut oil.

– Dip each donut into the sugar topping until the top is coated. Repeat with all the donuts.

These donuts are soft, fluffy, and delicious and make the perfect fall treat!
