An easy blueberry sauce (with no cornstarch) you can use to top desserts. This delicious, blueberry compote is simple to make, and can be made with fresh or frozen berries.

Gather the Ingredients

– blueberries – water – sugar – lemon zest – lemon juice

- Add 1 cup of blueberries, water, sugar, and lemon zest to a small pot. – Bring the mixture to a boil and then reduce heat. Simmer, stirring occasionally.

- Add the remaining cup of blueberries to the pot and continue to simmer. - Remove pot from the heat and stir in lemon juice.

- Cool and place in a glass jar. Refrigerate overnight to thicken.

Use to top desserts, pancakes, waffles, cheesecake, ice cream, and more!

When stored in the refrigerator in an airtight jar, it will last for up to 2-weeks
